For those students who want to take their learning beyond the classroom, Regis offers the following extracurricular options:
First Tech Challenge (FTC): Open to all Regis students, The Regis Royal Robots, otherwise known as FTC, gives students the opportunity to problem solve, collaborate and engineer robots with peers and volunteers in the tech field. The season kicks off in the fall with teams brainstorming, engineering, building and trouble-shooting their robots to tackle the game challenge put out to all teams. A Message to the Mock Trial students and families
Your student was encouraged at practice today to go to http://mocktrial101.com/ and use their email address to register for free access to an online video course on the Iowa mock trial program.
This free course was created by a Regis mock trial alum, and it is designed to break down each phase of mock trial into short 5-minute or less video lessons that people can view on their computers, tablets, or phones.
We are encouraging all students participating in mock trial to use the http://mocktrial101.com/ course to supplement what they are learning in practice (particularly if they are not yet avid note takers).
Parents are also welcomed to sign up for access to http://mocktrial101.com/ so you have an idea of what your student will be working on in mock trial this fall.
